EUROPEAN ENGINEERING, PROPERLY MAINTAINED

Volkswagen is one of Australia’s most popular European brands — and for good reason. Golfs, Tiguan, Passat and Polo models are reliable, enjoyable to drive and well-engineered. Like all European vehicles, they benefit from being looked after by someone who actually knows them.

At Brumby Motors, our service adviser Eric specialises in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. We’ve serviced hundreds of VW owners across the North Shore and understand what needs attention at what mileage — and what can wait.

Frequently Asked Questions
VW Service Artarmon
Clear answers about service intervals, DSG maintenance, timing chains, 4Motion and approved VW oil.
Does my VW use LongLife or fixed-interval servicing?
It depends on your model and driving conditions. VW LongLife service intervals can extend to 30,000 km under ideal conditions, but we generally recommend more frequent oil changes for older engines or those driven in city conditions. We’ll advise the correct approach for your vehicle.
VW recommends DSG fluid and filter service every 60,000 km or 6 years. If the gearbox is shuddering or shifting roughly, it may be due earlier. This is a critical service that protects the DSG from expensive internal wear.
We can assess timing chain condition and tension on VW TSI engines and advise whether replacement is needed. This is a service that is worth doing proactively on higher-mileage TSI engines to avoid engine damage.
Yes. We service all VW models including those with 4Motion all-wheel drive. This includes Haldex coupling service on relevant models.
VW has strict oil specifications — most modern VW models require VW 504/507 rated oil. Using the wrong grade can void your warranty and cause engine damage. We use the correct grade for your specific model.
